Dear Parents/Guardians:

Subject: Welcome Back! Moving Forward!

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to welcome the Adelanto Elementary School District community to the 2021/22 school year! Although the COVID pandemic will require some adjustments, we are excited to return to in-person instruction. While the past sixteen months have been challenging, we remain optimistic about the coming year and the many opportunities awaiting our students in the classroom.

It is quite fitting that the word “Adelante” means to advance, to develop, to move forward in a purposeful way. It is our promise to provide your children a high-quality instructional program, and to meet their social and emotional needs as well. Accordingly, these will be the District focus for this year.

The 2021-2022 school year will be like no other, not because of the pandemic. The school year will be like no other because of your commitment to education for your children, the perseverance and resiliency of your family, and the collaboration of our staff, partnering with you, to create positive outcomes.

Our staff have been working hard in preparation for in-person instruction. Over the past year, each school has invested time, in a purposeful way, developing a Professional Learning & Collaboration Plan. The intent of this plan is to have a focused direction to build a collective purpose; collaborative cultures while clarifying individual and team roles and to dive into deep learning to accelerate improvement and foster innovation for your child’s growth academically, mentally and emotionally.

If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school. We are looking forward to seeing your children in-person and “Moving Forward” together with you.
