Welcome To Gus Franklin Jr. STEM Academy

Gus Franklin STEM School gives students access to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). We are a fully integrated STEM school and currently infuse Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch Curriculum. We are proud that our students, staff, teachers and parents work together to increase students' awareness in 21st Century Learning.

Our Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) vision is to ignite the spark of global ingenuity, creativity and imagination within all our students.

AESD to Launch New Program to Promote Reading, Slogan Contest for Students

We know and understand the importance of reading by third grade, but we want to get the message out to everyone, plus reading is just fun! We want to help create a community of readers in AESD! The Plan is to have ongoing activities, contests, reading challenges, special reading events, and so much more!!

We are looking for a creative and fun slogan to launch the “AESD Read” campaign. We know our students are creative and talented. The contest to create a slogan is open to all AESD students in TK-8. Governor Newsom Announcement on K-12 COVID Vaccine for Students

On October 1, 2021, Governor Newsom announced that California will become first state in nation to announce COVID-19 vaccine will be added to list of required school vaccinations. Students will be required to be vaccinated for in person learning starting the term following FDA full approval of the vaccine for their grade span (7-12 and K-6).

Now accepting new students in grades 1st - 5th grade for the 2021-2022 school year



Parents: You are invited to the Community Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting

Wednesday, October 27, from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. (English and Español)

The Community Advisory Committee is made up of parents, special and general education teachers, psychologists, consultants, students with disabilities, and representatives from private and public agencies. A majority of members are parents. This group advises the District on the educational needs of students with disabilities and helps to secure appropriate services for each individual. The CAC is a place where parents and members of the community can discuss concerns and resolutions as they relate to the quality of special education programs in the community. Everyone is welcomed to attend!
